What is TickAI?+−
TickAI is a website scanning and review tool for AI transparency. It helps teams find AI-related content on their websites, review whether disclosures may be needed under Article 50 of the EU AI Act, keep evidence of those decisions, and optionally show live labels on the site.
What is Article 50 of the EU AI Act?+−
Article 50 is the AI Act's transparency article. It covers several disclosure duties, and TickAI is focused mainly on Article 50(4): the rules around disclosing certain AI-generated or AI-manipulated content, plus the related workflow businesses need to document those decisions.
Does every AI image need a disclosure?+−
No. The law is narrower than a lot of compliance marketing suggests. TickAI is built around the view reflected in the product spec and guidance: the real question is which realistic, potentially misleading assets plausibly need disclosure, not whether every AI-touched image gets a label.
Do I need technical knowledge?+−
Not much for scanning and review. You only need light technical help if you want to install the live overlay snippet and do not already know where your site's shared head or tag manager lives.
Will TickAI slow down my website?+−
It is designed to keep impact low. The overlay loads asynchronously, fetches a small static JSON config instead of hitting a live database, and only adds badges that have already been decided in review.
