Terms of service
Last updated: 11 July 2026
The rules that apply when you create an account and use TickAI.
Overview
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of TickAI.
By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and, if applicable, the organisation you represent. If you do not agree, do not use TickAI.
Who we are
TickAI is provided by Community Maps Ltd ("TickAI", "we", "us", "our"), a company registered in Guernsey, Channel Islands, with company number 75120. These terms are a contract between you (or the organisation you represent) and Community Maps Ltd. You can reach us using the details in the Contact section below.
The service
TickAI helps organisations identify, review, document, and optionally disclose AI-generated or AI-modified content on their websites.
TickAI is a workflow and documentation tool. It does not provide legal advice, does not act as your lawyer, and does not guarantee that your organisation complies with any law or regulatory regime.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract to create an account or use TickAI.
You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity that takes place under your account.
If you create an account for a company or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms.
TickAI is intended for use by businesses and other organisations in the course of their trade, business, or profession, not by consumers acting for purposes outside that. If you are a consumer, statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded (including any right to cancel under applicable consumer-protection law) are not affected by these terms.
Acceptable use
You may only use TickAI for lawful purposes and only in relation to websites, content, and systems that you own, operate, or are otherwise authorised to review.
You must not:
- use the service to gain unauthorised access to any website, account, or system;
- interfere with or disrupt the service;
- upload or submit malicious code;
- use the service in a way that infringes the rights of others; or
- resell, copy, or reverse engineer the service except where the law clearly permits it.
Your content and instructions
You keep ownership of the data, content, URLs, and materials you submit to TickAI.
You give TickAI a limited right to host, process, copy, and analyse that material as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the service for you.
You are responsible for the legality, accuracy, and completeness of the information you submit, including any review decisions recorded in the platform.
Third-party websites and content
Using TickAI involves TickAI accessing, fetching, and analysing websites, pages, and files hosted by third parties, at your direction.
You confirm that you own, operate, or are otherwise authorised to submit each website, page, or piece of content you ask TickAI to access or analyse, and that doing so does not breach any agreement, policy, or law that applies to that content.
TickAI is not responsible for the content, availability, security, or practices of any third-party website we access at your direction. Accessing a site through TickAI does not create any relationship between TickAI and that site's owner.
If you believe TickAI has processed content in a way that infringes your rights, contact us using the details on our contact page and we will investigate.
AI detection results and accuracy
TickAI uses automated analysis, including third-party machine-learning and detection models, to estimate whether content is likely to be AI-generated or AI-modified.
These estimates are probabilistic and can be wrong, including false positives (flagging genuine content as AI-generated) and false negatives (missing AI-generated content). Detection scores are a decision-support tool, not a forensic or legal determination of how content was created, and TickAI does not warrant any specific level of accuracy.
You are responsible for applying appropriate human review and judgement, and for any decision you make based on TickAI's output — including public disclosure, labelling, personnel, procurement, or regulatory-compliance decisions. You should not treat a TickAI score, on its own, as proof of a piece of content's origin.
Billing and subscriptions
Paid plans are billed through Stripe on the pricing and billing terms shown to you at the time of purchase.
Plans are sized by the number of website pages they monitor, pooled across all production domains on the account. Plans also include generous media-processing allowances; very media-heavy websites may require additional capacity.
Extra production domains may be added as separate monthly add-ons and share the plan's monitored-page allowance. Capacity packs may be added on eligible tiers to increase the number of pages the plan monitors. Unless we say otherwise in-product, add-ons are billed monthly even if your base plan is billed annually.
Capacity packs are priced at the flat monthly amount shown at the time they are added, and each adds a fixed number of monitored pages together with a corresponding media-processing allowance. Add-ons are only ever added with your confirmation — nothing is charged automatically when a scan reaches a plan limit. We may set usage, quantity, or eligibility limits on add-ons, and we may present upgrade guidance where a higher tier appears to offer better value than further add-ons.
Unless otherwise stated, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel future renewals from your billing settings, and your paid features will remain available until the end of the current billing period unless the plan says otherwise.
Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable, including where you cancel, downgrade, or stop using the service partway through a billing period.
We may change pricing for future billing periods by giving reasonable notice in advance.
Availability and changes
We may update, improve, suspend, or discontinue parts of TickAI from time to time.
We aim to keep the service available, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.
We may label some features as beta, early access, or experimental. These features are provided for evaluation, may change or be withdrawn at any time, and may be less reliable than generally available features, including the accuracy limitations described in AI detection results and accuracy above.
Support and admin access
Where reasonably necessary for support, maintenance, security, or abuse prevention, authorised TickAI staff may access relevant account information.
Administrative actions are restricted and may be logged for audit and security purposes.
Intellectual property
TickAI and its software, design, branding, and documentation remain the property of TickAI and its licensors.
These terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service during your subscription term, subject to these terms.
Disclaimers
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the maximum extent permitted by law.
TickAI does not guarantee any legal outcome, regulatory decision, or enforcement result. You remain responsible for obtaining professional advice where appropriate and for making your own compliance decisions.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TickAI will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or business opportunity.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TickAI's total liability arising out of or relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid to TickAI in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Indemnification
You will indemnify and hold TickAI harmless from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) content or URLs you submit to TickAI without proper authorisation; (b) your breach of these terms, including the Acceptable use and Third-party websites and content sections; or (c) your violation of any law or third-party right in connection with your use of the service.
Confidentiality
Each party may access non-public information about the other in connection with these terms. Each party will use the other's confidential information only to perform its obligations or exercise its rights under these terms, and will protect it with reasonable care. This does not apply to information that is or becomes public other than through breach of this clause, or that a party is required to disclose by law.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these terms, create risk for the service or other users, or where we are required to do so by law.
You may stop using the service at any time. Termination does not affect rights or obligations that arose before termination.
General terms
Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these terms without our prior consent. We may assign these terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganisation, or sale of assets, or by operation of law.
Force majeure. Neither party is liable for delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including outages of third-party infrastructure providers.
Severability. If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest of these terms remain in effect, and the unenforceable provision will be replaced with one that most closely reflects its original intent.
No waiver. Failure to enforce a provision of these terms is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
Entire agreement. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, our Data Processing Agreement, and any order form or plan terms shown to you at purchase, are the entire agreement between you and TickAI regarding the service, and supersede any prior agreements on the subject.
Sanctions and export compliance. You may not use TickAI if you are located in, ordinarily resident in, or acting on behalf of a person in, a country subject to comprehensive trade sanctions, or if you are on any restricted-party list, and you must otherwise comply with applicable trade control and sanctions laws when using the service.
Notices. We may give you notice by email to the address on your account or by posting on the service. You may give us notice using the contact details on our contact page.
Survival. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including Billing and subscriptions (for amounts already owed), Intellectual property, Indemnification, Confidentiality, Disclaimers, Limitation of liability, and Governing law and disputes — survive termination of these terms.
Governing law and disputes
These terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or the service, are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms, except that we may seek injunctive or equivalent urgent relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect our rights.
If you are a consumer resident in a country whose local law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts and prevents this clause from limiting that right, this clause does not remove that right.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will post the updated version here and update the effective date.
Your continued use of TickAI after the updated terms take effect means you accept the revised terms.
